A slab is strong in compression and weak in the middle. Two people carrying a slab by its ends is how it snaps.

On site

  1. Carry it upright where you can.
  2. Never rest it flat on an uneven surface.
  3. Cut the openings before you move it into place.

A slab that is handled well arrives with its edges intact, which is the part nobody can repair.
